Cosmo Graphis provide document scanning solutions and needed a new site to coinside with a national promotion campaign.
Cosmo approached The Pixel Jar to revamp their website, whilst keeping within their current branding. We had already designed their logo, so we were confident that we could provide the solution they needed.
The initial brief was to simplify the website, by making it more user friendly. The Pixel Jar accomplished this by arranging the benefits of the business at the top of the homepage. After this, we felt it important to target specific sectors who would benefit from their services. Content from the site was then reduced to make the website less complicated and more accessible for visitors.
The Shop Local Scheme aim to boost the local economy by offering rewards & incentives to returning cardholders, thus generating returning custom for local businesses.
The Brief was to update the current website in terms of design and functionality. The Pixel Jar created a clean design with a search component for the the full listing of businesses that belong to the scheme. The businesses are obtainable by both name and by service type, example: “John Doe Builders” and “Builder”.
Three Thirds are a creative production studio delivering CGI visuals for both print and digital marketing.
The Pixel Jar were briefed for both the logo and website design. To help develop the logo we were asked to advise them with some additional research and development, the focus being on a simple design. The final logo design chosen was a series of lines, mirroring morse code for ‘not a number’. This is significant as it represents their company name 'Three Thirds' and the fact that they’re not just a number in their field.
For their website, the key focal point was their showreel. The showreel is viewed full screen to highlight both their client base as well as their skillset, in keeping with the logo design, the website was to be simple and lucid in design.
Sally Stenton creates works of art that connect with the senses. Her art explores traces through time and often catch people unawares, interrupting their normal passage from place to place.
Sally needed a website that would allow her to upload her recent works of art with ease. She also required a blog/journal to record her latest activities. The website was to be minimal so that her artwork stood out and was fully appreciated by her followers and new visitors.
Freckleton Carpets supply carpets, laminates, floor tiles and artificial grass.
Our client required a website that was to be easily updated and managed by themselves. This included removing and adding new products as well as highlighting ‘managers specials’. Freckleton Carpets also needed to convey location areas and boundaries of their carpet fitting service. Our client was very happy with the design and functionality of the website.
